Identify the motor, generator or contact assembly and its original brush reference. Include the machine nameplate, controlled drawing and brush-holder arrangement. A plant description such as industrial machinery does not define the contact system or material grade.

Provide the actual load and duty cycle, voltage, contact-surface speed and operating environment. Add the existing grade and spring arrangement if known. A material selected for one operating condition should not be transferred to another solely because the dimensions match.

Identify both, including the holder clearance, spring arrangement and electrical connection shown on the equipment drawing. State whether the order is for a loose brush or a complete assembly. A correct carbon block cannot by itself establish that the whole brush system is suitable.

Technical

No. Hazardous-duty suitability belongs to the specified equipment, component and approved service arrangement. Give the applicable project requirements to the responsible engineering team and request the relevant evidence. Do not infer explosion protection from a general industrial-grade label.

Use the equipment maker's inspection and fault-finding procedure. Record the grade, loading and condition of the brushes, holders and contact surface for the technical review. Do not change spring settings or select a harder grade from a general troubleshooting table.

Confirm the drawing revision, approved grade, lead and terminal details and the inspection requirements for the part. Identify any required batch traceability or test records in the enquiry. Certificates or performance data must apply to the supplied specification, not an unrelated product.
